About the Role
1. Safely and efficiently unstuff and unload heavy cargo from heavy trucks and containers.
2. Maintain records by counting unloaded goods and creating tally and load sheets.
3. Securing cargo safely and efficiently for lifting by forklifts and storage on high racks.
4. Data entry using inventory software and scanners to track deliveries and process orders.
5. Assist in conducting physical inventory counts.
6. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping of warehouse and containers, disposing of trash, broken pallets, shrink wrap.
7. Follow proper safety protocols for handling and storing heavy cargo.
8. Evaluate and assess cargo for transportation using vans or lorries.
9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments in the warehouse such as drivers, forklift operators, customer service and warehouse manager to ensure smooth operations.
10. Read and interpret product labels and codes accurately to ensure correct handling and shipment of items.
11. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems in stock-keeping and inventory.
Requirements
Able-bodied and physically fit.
